For over 30 years Great Decisions has given an inspiring example of the role citizens can play in discovering, discussing, and deciding how some of the world's greatest challenges can be met. The LWV of Berkeley Heights, New Providence, and Summit is again co-sponsoring, with the Summit Area Community School, these seminars developed by the Foreign Policy Association. There is a background information book for each participant and an introductory video for each topic. Participants may register separately for each topic or for the course as a whole. The facilitators help you with the materials and guide the discussion. At the end of the evening participants complete ballots and the results are compiled by the FPA and presented to Congress, the White House, the Departments of State and Defense and the national press.
The Wednesday night series takes place at the Summit High School from 7:30-9:30p.m. Fees are $13 per seminar or $68 for the series of eight. Call 908-273-1141 or Bernice Samelson.
